Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly called Jessie J, is a known English singer and songwriter. The unique music style that Jessie performs that fuses soul vocals, pop, electropop and hip-hop, has earned her not just fame but also recognition from a young age. The awards she has won include the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and BBC's Sound of 2011 as well numerous nominations. She started her career at the young age of 11 when she was in the production of 'Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Her next step was joining the National Youth Music Theater and appeared in their 2002 show"The Late Sleepers". The singer became famous in 2011, with her debut album 'Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. The album was an overwhelming success, selling 105,000 copies in the UK and 34,000 copies in the US within the first few days of publication. Jessie's album also reached second place in the Charts of UK Albums, and number eleven in the US Billboard 200.
